At my heart I am a Social Worker, though I am also a business owner and a property owner as well. I love talking about money and leadership and the economy and the free market. There are a lot of things that I am quite conservative about and these views may show up at times in future posts. Though I may align with conservatives on many issues, I bleed electric blue when it comes to hate and oppression and I believe that all humans do. I believe we all have a responsibility to speak out against hate and oppression because: Fighting against hate isn’t a liberal idea, it is a human idea. I believe all humans to be inherently good, though some lose their way and it is our job as fellow humans (and a humane race) to bumper car people back into alignment with hope and all that is good in the world. We nudge them back into alignment with our words and our pleas and our actions. Voting for someone is not a blind agreement or contract of eternal support – it is not an indefinite instruction to look the other way. We all have a call to action to do what is right and speak out against injustice regardless of what political party we claim to be.
Changing systems can be frustrating, confusing and time consuming; Strive to change them anyway.
Fighting against hate isn’t a liberal idea – it is a human idea.
Change It Anyway
